Hey! Meet the Garcias.

Hi there! Thank you so much for stopping by. I may not be the best writer, but I promise you everything I say is from the heart and with the best intentions.

I am Debbie Garcia, that handsome man in the picture is my husband Carlos and those are our two kids Max and Maisie. This picture was taken on a Catamaran in Cancun Mexico in June 2022.

I am originally from New York. Born in Queens and grew up on Long Island (went to same High School as Lenny Bruce (many years apart). I have two brothers who still live on the Island. I went to Marist College in Poughkeepsie and graduated with a Bachelors in Communications (Radio/TV/Film) with a minor is Music and Theater. I worked in New York City for a few years at MTV, Grey Worldwide Advertising and Westwood One Radio Network which brought me to Nashville in 2003 when I launched CMT Radio Networks.

In 2006 I met Carlos doing a community theater show, "The Music Man". We married in 2011. In 2013, Maxton joined our family and a few years later in 2016, Maisie joined us.

2020 changed our world completely like many other families and we are still feeling the affects. I was laid off from a job I absolutely loved while also doing venue sourcing for an agency. I lost all income from a full time job, all my programs canceled or moved, our Aibnb went empty and two kids at home doing virtual school.

So in all the crazy, I had a crazy idea and decided to start my own company in the tech world for hospitality. Yup, a bit crazy, but when an idea hits you and you believe, you go for it.

What else was I supposed to do, I am no baker and sourdough starter seemed a bit boring to me. So virsitour was born as a tool for the hospitality industry but more importantly really putting a focus on parenting in an industry that does not seem to care about being a parent.

So here we are, the Garcias. We have had many ups and downs and they will continue to happen and I am in a constant state of momsomnia.
